"Explorations in the Garden of Good & Evil": An annual invitational shrine exhibition featuring an eclectic collection of works by approximately 40 contemporary artists - benefiting The Santa Fe Rape Crisis & Trauma Treatment Center.
The exhibition includes a plethora of mediums, subjects and interpretations. The theme has been interpreted freely by artists – literally in some cases and conceptually in others. Some have produced actual shrines and others have created interpretive variations of shrines.
Artists have submitted shrines that are reverent, whimsical and thought provoking. Many have used this opportunity to experiment, to make a statement or to explore – producing many varied thoughts and emotions. Some have created work that focuses solely on either good or evil while others have chosen to focus on the symbiotic relationship that exists between good and evil - exploring the concept that one cannot exist without the other.
